·
Print Map to Bitmap by Multiplier fixed
·
Long Column Name Labels on Printouts in Merge Grid Sample
Results
·
Fixes GPS Mark Button Enabled Problems. Starting and
stopping multiple times resulted in not being able to stop marking.
·
Fixes a problem that now allows Create Topography Zones to
be run from data sources that have been clipped to a boundary.
·
Modified
Merge Grid Results again, so long column names can be used on both the Short
and Long Name.
It used to be that we controlled the “ShortName” in the
common name database and would design our lab reports to output names less than
10 characters (the limit for a DBF in a SHP file). And then we would store the Long of “Pretty”
name for the short name.
The creators of the DBF file in 1988 probably though that 10 characters was
great plenty, since file names at the time could only be 8 characters long.
But with the advent of new soil labs trying to describe the entire lab process
in the short name, Phosphorus (Mehlich III) Parts
Per Million Zero to Six Inches (a slight exaggeration, but not much), we
had to find a different way to handle these.
So now we query the long name to find the metadata about the layer and changed
the process to store its output file of merged point locations and soil test
results to a Geo-JSON file, which can handle long column names. Our problems
with Product Names or Soil Lab columns longer than 10 characters should be
behind us, at least in Merge Grid and Merge Zones.
·
Modified
the “Use with Pre-Merged file function to do lookups with both the long and
short names. May still have problems with old SHP files with truncated column
names.
·
Added
cloud management tools and services for the new GK Field mapper as well as
tools for syncing data with the GK Cloud.
·
Added
PCA (Principal Component Analysis) to the Zone Generation techniques.
·
Added
reading and writing of Geo-Parquet files for storing and querying vector data.
This was initially added for support for the new ADAPT Standard, but we also
are using it internally in ADMS to store US States and Counties for querying
data based on field location.
·
Added
processes for creating and using “LIDAR Catalogs”
o
A
LIDAR Catalog is a database of LIDAR data stored on your local machine.
o
Creates
a properly spelled catalog of state and county folders of LIDAR Data.
o
This
is just the beginning, and catalogs of other datasets will be implemented to
the near future to provide.
o
The
“LIDAR Import from Catalog” uses this catalog and the state and county
GEO-Parquet file to make importing LIDAR almost a single click operation.
o
Lastly
this catalog needed a tool to update and adapt to changes to in the LIDAR
dataset.
·
We
are sorry to pull a Microsoft Office trick on you and rename and move menu
items, but in preparation for an entire re-work of the ADMS manual in 2025 we
have changed the name of some menu items, for licenses, trial codes, settings,
et. Al.
·
Added
KML and Geo-JSON support within the data tree as well as exports for both.
Meaning you can just drop them in the folder like TIF’s or SHP’s and turn them
on.
· Modifed Merge Grid Results and changed
common name handling to store the “FullName” of the
layer in the Merged Grid Points, rather that the “ShortName”.
The “ShortName” of some soil labs was ridiculously
long for the way the system was designed.
· Changed TeamViewer from and Embedded resource to a file that is downloaded after installation.
· Fixed a Polygon and Point check in Merge Grid Results.
· Fixed error checking for online temp folder when closing ADMS.
· Update GPS marking buttons to change colors when marking.
· Updated tile design to calculate start depth from Ideal Depth.
· New feature to save and load GeoParquet files.
ADMS 9.18.0 Rev 4
·
Major
Changes to the Landsat Version 2 Merge Utility. Now Merges 16-bit bands instead
of down-sampling to 8-bit. ALL LANDSAT V2 IMAGERY NEEDS
TO BE DELETED AND REPROCESSED
·
Changes
to Raster Draw to handle 48 bit per pixel Imagery
·
Modified
the Hillshade tool to improve functions.
·
Updated
to use GDAL 3.7.2
·
We
had 3 different methods of extracting imagery in previous versions. All of the locations in ADMS now use the best process we
had, and that process has been upgraded to extract 16 bit per channel data.
·
Updated
Reduce Boundary Effect in the Zone Extract Tabs.
Multiple Vegetation layers can be exported without reloading the RGB Image. For
example, you can extract NDVI Red, NDVI Green, and NIR with only one click on
the Image Date. Hangs on to the Temp Image until a new image date is selected,
or the tab is closed.
·
Added
an indicator to Online Data Extractor to show the name of the server the data
is being sourced.
·
Implemented
new download procedures using streams for quicker download and less overhead on
the Server and the Client.
·
Implemented
temporary filenames with unique ID s for preventing interference between
multiple extracts at the same time.
·
Added
a better method of cleaning up temporary files in the temp extract folder.
·
Updated
Online Extract procedures to handle problems introduced with GDAL 3.6.2 and
newer with calculations of stats with files that were empty or all black.
·
Made
changes to fix problems created from the changes to world file process.
·
Changes
to web maps to add licensing logos etc.
·
· Modified world files writers to add EPSG codes.
·
· Added a fix to polygon editing tools.
·
· Added a fix to Dissolve tool.
·
The
same changes as 14.0, just released on purpose this time. 😊
·
A
routine in the CSV Data Provider was trying to grant permissions to a folder
with the user, My.User.Name
which returned nothing on my computer.
Changed it to grant Users full control of the folder it was writing to.
·
Added
support for importing Landsat Collection 2, Level 2 imagery to a 4 Band
Geo-Tif.
It is adjustable as to what band to use, but we suggest letting it default to
what comes up automatically.
·
A
fix was made to handle long column names in the vector merge tools.
·
Shortened
the characters allowed to 10 for a column name (which comes from the name of
the surface) in Deere GRX Generator.
·
GDAL 3.6.2 was
released, so we have upgraded to that.
Changed the Version number of our GK_GDAL DLL to be the same version number as
the version of GDAL that is targets.
·
Fixed an issue
loading 32-bit grayscale TIF s that had to do with inaccurate statistics
calculated by GDAL approximation.
·
Fixed an issue
with BMP s not being saved with the filename the user had entered in the Common
Dialog box.
As additional changes, fixed having temp files left over and deleted aux.xml
files left over from the load process.
·
Support for
loading KML files directly in the tree.
·
Added a new hill-shade tool located in 'Raster Tools'.
·
Updated the algorithm to aspect and slope in
Watershed Modeling.
·
Updated a DLL called Brutile
which is used for fetching web maps. Added fixes for WMS layers and made some
temp file changes to provide better performance.
(This may have removed a few tile map sources that were previously available.)
·
Fixed corrupting csv files when loading in
UTM.
Can load them, save to SHP and be good to go. Reloading
the CSV will cause an error for now.
Deleting the GKT_VAF will allow reloading the file with
the wizard. Will take new file formats to fix. We have documented it for
changes soon. But not this release
·
Removed a ZIP file that was in the installer
that contained Color Tables, Scripts, Templates, Symbology etc.
A customer s firewall was blocking all ZIP files, so we removed the ZIP and
created a routine to store the individual files and copy them at startup.
This is only used to copy data for new users, or a new GKData Folder.
·
Set the flag in Multiple Map Math outputs to
indicate to the map control that the layers have been Saved. (IsDirty=False) and the EPSG Code and UTM Zone.
·
Set the EPSG Code and UTM Zone on outputs
coming out of Single Map Math.
·
Made a small change to Control Point code in
the AGPS Project Export to make that functional again.
·
Made some adjustments to the Reproject Window
to fix issues introduced with GDAL 3.5.
·
Added methods to Print layout color chip legend,
to allow for displaying unique values, so if you have 5 colors in your map you
get 5 chips.
·
Fixed an Issue with converting CSV files with
Long Column Names to SHP files.
·
Fixed an Issue that was causing CIR Extracts
to try to Save an existing SID file to a New one.
·
Added some Checks to Online data extractor to
prevent users from extracting data from incomplete path names.
·
More changes to threading with web map tile
downloads.
·
Made a change to loading of multi-resolution
Geo-Tifs, a trap but in for a specific type of TIF
was preventing loading TIF s from the southern hemisphere.
·
The
3.5 Version of GDAL is having issues calculating statistics of an image. This
made calculation for some process seem to hang.
The probably weren t frozen, just taking a very long
time. For the time being we changed settings to allow it to use approximate
numbers since they are just being
used to equalize colors. This was the problem with the Multi-Layer Band Display
button that Clint reported.
· Changed to writing BMP files with
GDI+ in Windows.
·
This
release will be extracting data from a new server. We have found some corrupted
SID files on this server.
Please report any counties that you have problems extracting from that report
something like this.
·
Some
changes to the Online Extractor to be able to better judge progress on Extract
All in NAIP Extraction.
·
Modified
location of NAIP Zip Extraction to prevent Dropbox from grabbing the temp zip
file and preventing our process from deleting it.
·
Updated
to GDAL Version 3.52, which introduced several problems to be fixed with BMP
file writing, and file close changes in GDAL.
·
Fixes
to Slider in the Tile Graph.
·
Fixes to Print Layout.
